Hi – yes that should be about right – you will want 12 ounces of oranges (unpeeled) total. I find that the cake gets even better when left overnight in a cake container. If you are planning to sprinkle with powdered sugar that should be done just before serving though.

For orange olive oil cake, if using Cara Cara or blood oranges would about two oranges work in place of 3 or 4 tangerines? Also can the cake be made a day or two ahead and stored in a cake container?
