Hi – great question! I do not rinse for this recipe because it goes straight into the pan for the saute method. (I do rinse when I make steamed rice though). Thanks

Definitely the best spanish rice recipe I have cooked. I have looked so long for a good recipe that tastes similar to mexican restaurants. This is the first. 10/10

Hi – yes, the rice is cooked dry before adding the broth. You are essentially “toasting” the rice to give it more flavor before adding broth to soften it. Hope this helps!

PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND A DETAIL IN THIS RECIPE. This seems similar to how my dad used to make it for me but I feel embarrassed to ask him if ii should be cookIng the rice dry prior to the broth because I’ve never done it that way before. Anyone can clarify?

Good evening it’s 12:00 am and it’s the Fourth of July weekend, I’m about to cook this rice for my mother-in-law birthday bbq I look forward to it, I cooked collard greens with smoke turkey necks plus sweet and sour marinated ribs and shrimp kabobs marinated in sweet and sour. Other people are bring food also plus I have to work the grill this going to be fun because I cook for a living, this gives a chance to show my skills.
